About WDA Dance Troupe

Westchester Dance Academy award-winning Competitive Troupe is one of the region’s most prestigious and high-achieving dance programs. Our dancers have earned top honors at regional and national dance competitions, including being named Best Ballet Studio at Nationals two years in a row. Graduates have gone on to study at Julliard, Harvard, Princeton, NYU, and more.

Designed for dancers who love to perform and are ready for a more intensive level of training, the WDA Troupe provides focused conditioning, elite technical instruction, first-class choreography, and individual mentorship. Dancers train in ballet, lyrical, jazz, and contemporary to build a strong foundation and versatile performance skill set. Troupe dancers are placed through an audition process that evaluates showmanship, flexibility, passion, technical precision, turning ability, and potential for development. Placement decisions are made in the best interest of both the dancer and the team dynamic.

The Westchester Dance Academy Troupe is divided into teams based on age, ability, technique, and above all, potential. Troupe members participate in competitions such as the National Dance Awards, NYCDA, and Nuvo.

Mini

 Ages 7-9
 8 hours of class per week including ballet, lyrical, jazz, leap + turn, and Friday rehearsals
 Summer Intensive: August 18–22
 4-5 Regional Competitions (Dates TBA)
 National Competition: June or July (Dates TBA)
 Annual Studio Recital: May or June (Date TBA)

Junior

 Ages 10-12
 10 hours of class per week including ballet, lyrical, jazz, leap + turn, and Friday rehearsals
 Summer Intensive: August 18–22
 4-5 Regional Competitions (Dates TBA)
 National Competition: June or July (Dates TBA)
 Annual Studio Recital: May or June (Date TBA)

Pre-Teen + Teen

 Ages 12-15
 10 hours of class per week including ballet, lyrical, jazz, leap + turn; rehearsal day dependant on group performances
 Summer Intensive: August 18–22
 4-5 Regional Competitions (Dates TBA)
 National Competition: June or July (Dates TBA)
 Annual Studio Recital: May or June (Date TBA)

Senior

 Ages 15-18
 10 hours of class per week including ballet, lyrical, jazz, leap + turn; and Saturday rehearsals
 Summer Intensive: August 18–22
 4-5 Regional Competitions (Dates TBA)
 National Competition: June or July (Dates TBA)
 Annual Studio Recital: May or June (Date TBA)
